Wind turbine blades; design, development and optimization
With several years of experience within blade technology and composite materials together with continuous product development and testing we are constantly at the forefront of the latest technologies and knowledge about wind turbine blades. Our large knowledge base contains everything from design competences, material choice, production methods, factory lay-out and exquisite craftsmanship. In close corporation with our customers we combine knowledge, technology and experience in order to get the most out of the wind.
Our most important task is to tailor blade solutions based on customer requirements and enter into design and development projects where quality, cooperation and confidentiality are important cornerstones. So far, we have worked on blade concepts of up to more than 80 meters, the longest one being the world's longest blade measuring 83,5 meters. The blade is for Samsung Heavy Industries' new 7 MW wind turbine.
We have helped customers worldwide with development of competitive wind turbine blades. Our unique knowledge of blade technology and mould construction with focus on aerodynamics, uniform quality, low weight and high productivity means that you as a customer and partner, will draw on our know-how at all stages right through to turn-key production.

Successful static test
World’s longest blade measuring 83,5 meters has been tested in Bremerhafen and has successfully passed the static test.
The fatigue test started in week 8 and will run until May/June where the blade will be certified.
In the meantime we are producing three prototype blades to be installed on a test mill before summer.

On the 18th of October 2012, the world's longest blade left SSP Technology to go on a long journey from Stenstrup, Denmark to Bremerhaven, Germany.

M36 - The root solution for the larger blades of the future
SSP's M36 root solution is specifically developed for large wind turbine blades of the future. The root solution has the same advantages and features as the M30 root solution, but allows, with its minimal distance between bolts, more load and flexibility in BCD design.
