Turn-key mould solutions

Our own development of the SSP 34 m enables us to make this know-how available to our clients today. The scope of supply offered by SSP is not limited to commissioning of tools for clients, but it also includes the training of our clients' staff, quality control and mould maintenance.

The PC-based TQM system, together with the maintenance available for the supplied production tooling, is also part of the scope of supply. Production risk is not transferred until the first blades have been produced.

The factory layout supplied by SSP is designed specifically to meet the client's production requirements.

Over the years, SSP has acquired a leading reputation in the field of mould-making. SSP mould-making is characterised by accuracy of fit, low weight and long life cycles. During the development phase, special emphasis is placed upon achieving high mould productivity. The structural elements, “load carrying spar” and “root solution”, developed by SSP are also available where required.

The accuracy of fit when using the production tools has made SSP a preferred partner in rotor blade design and development departments of major manufacturers.
To date, blade concepts and moulds for the manufacture of blades from 28 m up to more than 60 m in length have been successfully realised.
